Column Aliases with AS

AS lets you rename columns in your query output.

Instead of showing the raw column name, give it a friendly label:

SELECT first_name AS name, salary AS pay
FROM employees;

The result columns will show "name" and "pay" instead of "first_name" and "salary".

You can also alias expressions:

SELECT salary * 12 AS annual_pay FROM employees;

Aliases make your results cleaner and easier to read, especially in reports and dashboards.
