Privacy Policy

The short version: Query Dojo has no accounts. Your progress stays on your device. We don't sell data, show ads, or use tracking cookies.

This website

  • Your progress (solved challenges, lessons, streaks, drafts, query history) is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we can't see it. Clearing your browser data deletes it.
  • Your queries run on a SQLite engine inside your browser. The SQL you write is not sent to our servers.
  • Anonymous usage counts. To learn what's useful, the site sends simple event counts such as "a challenge was solved" with the difficulty level. These counts carry no identifier, no IP address, and no cookie, and are stored only as daily totals.
  • Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Cookies. We don't set any.

The iPhone app

  • Learning progress, streaks and achievements are stored locally on your device.
  • Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details; we only receive whether your subscription is active, via our subscription provider RevenueCat.
  • The app does not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

What we don't do

  • No selling or sharing of personal information
  • No advertising or ad tracking
  • No accounts, email collection or user profiles

Your choices

Because your data lives on your device, you control it: clear your browser storage or delete the app to remove it. If you ever want to ask us anything about your data, email [email protected].

Children

Query Dojo is suitable for all ages. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

California and EU residents

We don't collect personal information that would be subject to CCPA or GDPR access or deletion requests, because your data stays on your device. You're welcome to contact us with any question.

Changes

If we add features that change how data is handled (for example, web subscriptions or optional accounts), we'll update this page before they launch and change the date above.
